R. Haire –
This has been a family favorite for years. My grand mother loved it. Now I come get it for my mom. It is a delicious treat!
Bob Zabick –
I am of Polish descent, and I know good czarina. I tried this frozen soup from Srodeks. It was terrible. I looked at the ingredients, and it said the base was beef stock, and it listed blood, but was probably beef blood, because this soup tasted nothing like Polish czarina. It was watery, with a strange taste, and only one or two raisins. I would not buy it again.
Edziu Strucinski –
The czarnina is very, very good! I was born in Hamtramck and I know what I’m talking about. It’s pretty close to the way my Granny used to make it. Thick and tasty. The next time I went to Srodeks, I bought 3 qts.
Ed Klonowski –
This soup is the closest to my moms. Not real sweet. I do add a few prunes to it and a teaspoon of vinegar for my taste. It’s the best I’ve had.
