Don’t miss our first annual Kielbasa eating challenge sponsored by American Polish Century Club, this Monday September 3rd, 2012 3 p.m. after the Polish Day Parade at the Hamtramck Labor Day Festival (www.hamtownfest.com) sign up to test your eating skills and show us how much kielbasa you can eat. 1st Place winner will take home $350, 2nd Place $150 and 3rd Place a Gift bag with many treats from area restaurants and shops!
Deadline to sign up is noon on Monday September 3rd, 2012.
Fee: $25 per person. 25 Contestants only (Cash Only)
Eligibility: The contest is open to all persons who are 18 years of age or older.

Contest Rules:
1. Application and fee must be turned in on or before the day of the contest at Srodek’s Campau Quality Sausage Co. at 9601 Joseph
Campau Hamtramck, MI 48212. 25 contestants limit.
2. Contestants will compete against each other. The object is to eat as much Kielbasa as possible in any style (with water, if desired)
within the allotted time of 10 minutes.
3. Contestant sign-in will be at the South Stage at Joseph Campau and Caniff with valid driver’s license on Monday, September 3,
2012 3 p.m.
4. Contestants must not touch Kielbasa until the starting signal is given.
5. Contestants must stop eating when the ending signal is given. Contestants may not put additional Kielbasa or a portion of a kielbasa
into their mouths after the ending signal, but will be allowed 15 seconds to chew and swallow any kielbasa already in the mouth.
6. If a contestant vomits or regurgitates at any time, that contestant is disqualified.
7. Judges will be on hand to assure adherence to contest rules and to tally the number of kielbasa eaten.
8. Winners will be determined by counting the number of kielbasa eaten.

9. All contestants agree to the use of their name and likeness for advertising or trade purposes.

Acknowledgment of Risks and Waiver of Liability: Contestant acknowledges that there are risks of personal injury, illness, and possible loss of life, and risks of damage to or loss of personal property, which may result from participating in this contest. Contestant, as a condition of entry, agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the City of Hamtramck and Srodek’s Campau Quality Sausage Co., its affiliated companies, their vendors, their advertising, promotion, and public relations agencies, co-sponsoring companies, and their affiliates and agencies from any and all claims and costs, including attorneys’ fees, arising from or in connection with participation in this contest or the receipt or use of any prize.
Final Authority: Srodek’s Campau Quality Sausage Co. has the final authority regarding all contest-related matters.
